From a Single Store to an Industry Leader in Eyewear and Optical Solutions
CemFa Group began its journey in 1966 with the founding of Altın Optik, an optical and eyewear store established by Sirac Altindag. Since then, it has evolved into one of Türkiye’s most respected providers of prescription lenses, premium global eyewear brands, and advanced optical lab equipment.
Established in 1987, CemFa Optik initially managed both optical lens production and eyewear distribution. In response to growing demand and the need for specialized service, the CemFa Group launched CemFa Gözlük in 2013, focusing exclusively on representing top international eyewear brands—offering a curated portfolio of eyeglasses, frames, and sunglasses to optical professionals nationwide.
Today, CemFa Optik continues to lead in the production and distribution of ophthalmic lenses and optical lab technology. It manufactures Starlens and OptoVision lenses at its own facility in Gebze and is the exclusive wholesale distributor of Rodenstock lenses in Türkiye. It also provides advanced optical lab equipment, including Briot and Weco edging systems, video centration devices, and Visionix lensmeters.
Meanwhile, CemFa Gözlük is the exclusive distributor in Türkiye for some of the world’s most prestigious eyewear brands—including LINDBERG, MASUNAGA, MENRAD (featuring Jaguar, JOOP!, and Morgan Eyewear), and MOREL.
Our Legacy
In 1966, Sirac Altindag made a significant mark in Diyarbakır by opening the city’s first optical store. Building on this success, he and his wife expanded their venture to İstanbul by inaugurating a second eyewear shop on Bahariye Street, Kadikoy in 1983. Sirac harbored a deep passion for his profession, and his greatest dream was for his children to share this love for the optical industry.
To nurture this passion, Sirac took his children Diler, Fatih and Cem to optical fairs abroad, exposing them to the latest advancements and trends in the eyewear field. Through these experiences, he aimed to ignite their interest and commitment to the profession. His dedication and efforts paid off as his children embraced the world of eyewear with enthusiasm.
Out of this shared passion and family commitment, CemFa Optik was born in 1987. This new venture symbolized the culmination of Sirac Altindag’s dreams and the beginning of a legacy that would continue to thrive and evolve with the same dedication and love for the optical industry.
In 2013, in response to increased demand and a desire to better serve both partners and customers, CemFa Gözlük was established. This new venture specializes in representing top global eyewear brands, focusing on eyeglasses, eyeglass frames, and sunglasses. By diversifying their offerings, CemFa Gözlük aims to provide a wider range of high-quality eyewear products to meet the varied needs of their clientele.
Meanwhile, CemFa Optik remains dedicated to the production of prescription eyeglass and sunglass lenses, as well as the import and distribution of optical lab equipment.
